    Chicken feet - dry scales?

Hi, I have a hard time keeping the pine shavings dry in my run over winter. I have completely enclosed it now with clear tarp and hope that will help, but, I noticed my chicks seem to have dry feet/scales. Can I apply a cream to them? What should I use? Thanks!

    Australorp rooster or hen?

I ordered 3 Australorp chicks, they are now about 9 weeks old. I am worried that the leader of the flock could be a rooster - and of course where I live I am not allowed to have one. If this is indeed a rooster, how can I pass him on? The You can see the suspect, In photo 1, 3 and 5. Also, at...

How to attack hardware cloth to metal run?

Hi, I'm all new to chicken keeping and I am still working on securing my chicken run. It's a metal run with roof that is attached to the coop. I would like to make it totally predator proof. My problem is that the ground is not level. For now I have leveled the run at the corners and in the...
