Greetings all!
It's been an eventful year. One of original girls had some kind of over dose of calcium that caused problems near her ovary and pooping. We got her into the vet just in time. To the tune of $500.
2 wks later, she'd been killed by a racoon.
Her buddy, a broody Barnevelder called...
I'm wondering if anyone has bought a coop and Resort Run (separately) and know what modifications are needed to attach it to the run for the coop.
We bought a Farmhouse Coop from Urban Northern Coops

We also purchased a "Resort Run"...
Reality has slapped us upside the head. Our brand new dishwasher was destroyed by rats that have camped out under our house. We have neighbors with chickens and have come to the conclusion that it's not in our best interest to continue planning for chickens. It's sad.
Several times this...
We're considering this type of run, with a large Over EZ coop placed inside. Mainly for the cost. We're in the Portland Oregon area and preds would be from the sky. We do have rats in the area but we're working on that, also, since neighbors have filled in their pond, no possums or raccoons. We...
I've been obsessing over this for weeks now!
We're purchasing our neighbor's Over EZ large large coop.
I've been fretting over the orientation of the coop so I can see the pop door, weather possibilities, size of run, and roofing.
I'd appreciate any suggestions, insights or opinions (the flock...
Has anyone elevated their Large Over EZ coop? If so, what did you use (concrete blocks, wood platform/remove existing legs?) I want to provide a bit more space for the girls.

We're almost ready to finish our plans for the "Wunderbug Coop & Run". Well, the coop is a large Over EZ coop and will be place up against the run so I have access to the man/woman door and the nest box.
The run will be 9' wide and 18' long. There will be a shed 3' away from it, so I wanted the...
I have a pair of Claret Vines that are lovely all year round - ESPECIALLY the autumn!
They do set fruit, and I've tasted them and they're good. I THINK they're related to grapes (I mean WHERE does "claret" that people in the olde days used to sip come from?????)
I wanted to keep the vines in...

Any opinions on this coop and run?
Thanks
We're buying our neighbor's "Over E-Z Amish Style coop". - it has 2 windows above the nest box, SUPPOSED to hold 20 chickens, but I have plans for 6 - 8 at the MOST! (she said)
I know the windows can be opened and allow ventilation, but those tiny vents above the Human door and the pop door...
Greetings fellow cluckers.
This summer, unbeknownst to us, one of our neighbor's chickens had taken a liking to my husband and I and started hanging around with us in the garage. Earlier in the year, she had gone exploring and we were her new world. Somehow she managed to jump the 6' wood fence...
