Someone said cockerel and another said pullet? They both have these ridgedy little combs but no wattles and they aren’t reddish or pink.
They were born on June 13th
Hello! I am looking for a few females to start a little flock. I haven't had luck in any stores or online in my area. Thought I'd try my luck here!
I'm located in the LA/Pasadena/Glendale/Panorama City area
I have this young serama thats got something with her eye. She did get pecked by mom when she was a few hours old and she was left with a bit of a scar.
I've been monitoring her for about a week. She eats and drinks normally. No foul odor or runny stools. The only thing wrong is her eye which...
I have this hen that was born on May 1st. She kinda started off looking like a penguin and then mottled and then....I have no idea. As she gets older she's more white with black spots. Also her neck and tail are really round and puffy? I got the egg from one of those etsy serama egg bundles. The...
I generally only posted when I have problems or issues with my two girls. Well since then I've expandedy coop and added to my flock!
A young Roo named Memphis and 5 ladies. Now with 3 chicks just hatched on September 3rd!
They are all doing so much better now that they have more members to...
So awhile back I asked here about a cinnamon female with silver feathers under her normal ones. A few suggested it may be lack of vitamins or regrowth.
Well one of her offspring came out silver...or at least looks that way so far. Does that mean it was a gene for silver all along?
The father...
Pullet or Cockerel? Hasn't shown any sign of crowing but it's kinda aggressive with the other birds. It's a massive bird, I just want to be prepared. Lol
Well honestly it was a huge clutch of eggs being sat on by two very scatterbrained girls. Haha I’m surprised they managed to hatch one with how often they kept pushing the eggs out by accident. I’m hoping to get another like the father I included a picture of. I’m told he’s a red breasted blue...
So my current set up has 2 female buttons, 1 male button and a female coturnix (who is currently awaiting a new set up I don't need to be informed to remove her lol) . Now the male seems to have taken to breeding with all 3 females. I've seen him readily mount them all and all the girls get into...
Been told the Frizzle is a pullet, the black and white is a cockerel and the standard is a pullet.
They were born May 1st...except the frizzle which hatched 2 days late.
This female rescue was missing a bunch of feathers on her back. I figured the light patches were the fluffy downy bits under. Nope. Those feathers are actually half silver? Is this a common thing with regrown feathers or is it some type of morph?
Having the hardest time finding these little guys. I've tried various sites including Craig. No one seems to sell buttons. Only coturnix. Anyone know of a good source to find them?
Pics of my quails Bean, Maple and Patchella included because why not.
2 out of my 8 mail order eggs made it. Because the parents are mixed I have no idea what these chicks might look like. Lol
Anyone have any ideas? Also I'm assuming one is a roo and the other a hen? I included a pic of the parent stock as well.
I posted sometime back that some serama eggs I ordered where literally thrown over the fence by my post office. Luckily none of the eggs were damaged.
A day or two ago I lost three eggs to bacteria. The chicks had been nearly fully developed.
Well just today one of the eggs I had separated...
I have this male button quail whom I've been having trouble finding the morph of. He has a light grey belly and wing tips.
I figured why not and start my own color project. The ultimate goal is maybe a white, fallow or Ivory with the blue face. Probably impossible but hey doesn't hurt to...
Tried to hatch my first batch of serama eggs. All of them seemed to be developing fine for the first 2 weeks.
After no pipping, chirping or movement I decided to candle them one last time. The eggs were emptier than they should have been and I feared the worst. They had these dark spots in...
So I've had my bantam sitting on these mailed serama eggs since the 6th of April. Now I don't know what's going on if they should hatched by now as they are my first hatching eggs.
Two of them seemed to get dirty and I was wondering could that be bacteria or just dirt from her rolling in the dirt?
