    Possible Appenzeller?

This chick came from a ‘non-created’ bin…but obviously has something going on up top. Doesn’t look like the Polish babies we have and vaguely resembles our AS when he was young. Any thoughts? Photos are a week apart.

    New babies!

Think we have a Rhode Island Red, a white crested Polish, another polish of some sort (excited to see the grow out), and two mystery chicks. Thoughts?

    16 weeks difference

Don’t know the breed, but I’m suspecting he’s a EE or general ‘mutt’. 🤷‍♀️ He’s going to be pretty, but I never would’ve guessed the white chick with black spots would end up like this. 16 weeks-ish.

    New babies!

We had a broody hen, but eggs that didn’t survive the Texas heat. We tried an adoption, but our Jersey Giant said ‘nope!’ So we had to get a few more babies so they weren’t lonely 🤪. I think I know 2 of the three breeds, but have no idea on the 3rd. It was the only one that looked like it, so I...

    Appenzeller Spitzhauben

Our young dude, Schnitzel. He has a weird after crow ‘honk’ that’s whispery sounding. He’s a character for sure.

Our 4 month old AS needs a name! I have added his ‘baby’ pictures and one from today. Some of our ladies are called ‘Nugget, Parm, Orange, Popcorn, Butterball…’. We have a chicken food theme 😂

    🐥 15 week update! 🐥

Our ‘babies’ are now roughly 15 weeks. We have a Spitz, SS, Black Australorp, WGJ, and a Barred Cochin. I’m hoping at least 4 are female…what do you think?

White chicken with gray legs- 11 weeks

Any thoughts on breed?? She is around 11 weeks old. I have included photos of her as a chick. 🐣 🐥 🐓 She had the most beautiful light gray feathers as a chick, but is now all white. She has gray legs that are clean. ❤️

    Spitz sexing?

Hi everyone! We have a beautiful Appenzeller Spitzhauben that’s around 10 weeks old. I’m almost convinced it’s a female, but it has some questionable behavior at times. 🤷‍♀️ I’m hoping this is just a breed trait, but what do you think based on the photos? Not the most cooperative bird while...

Our surprise assortment have reached the 4-4.5 week mark. I believe we have a Barred Cochin, Spitz, White Rock, BW Polish, speckled Sussex, and a black australorp (?). Thoughts on breed and gender?

    Three weekers

Hi forum! We have 6 babies from a surprise box. I think I have figured out all the breeds (I’m curious if I guessed correct!), but no idea about sex. I know it’s early, but any ideas?? Thanks!

    Barred Rock?

We have had this beautiful lady for almost 2 years and I thought she was a Barred Rock, but I saw an article about Dominiques and now I’m questioning. I’m questioning based solely on her comb. Thoughts?

Beautiful young Cockerels needing new home

We have 3 EEs and 2 (potentially 3) Bantam Silkies needing new homes. Our small flock can’t handle that much testosterone! They are all roughly 12 weeks old. We are in the DFW area of Texas. I’ll attach updated photos today.
