I thought I would do a goat kid portrait for my neighbor, she raises
goats and makes cheese, soaps and lotions. She also picks my son up
every Wednesday and takes him to church with their kids. I wanted to
show my appreciation with this ............and a gas card. LOL
..What do you all think of livestock guardian dogs? I am thinking of
getting a great pyrenees to watch my flock, last spring I had a
coyote come in to the barn and take my ENTIRE flock of birds
in one night. ive since replaced them but keep a very close
eye on them.

My 2nd official post after lurking for a long long time.
Ive lived here for 30 yrs and over that time have lost a chicken here an there.
maybe one every 3 yrs or so. Not to much considering the predators that are
around and we free range. so..............

I live on a farm in Minnesota, have had chickens all my life. Not really a breeder
or anything, we just enjoy the organic eggs and our pets.
