    Insulate or not?

    Hi Im expecting to get this incubator anyday now. A question for someone who may have it. Ive seen in the pics online.. Eggs set in the trays are shown to be both laying down and standing up in the normal incubator positition standing up. Which way is correct for this unit?

    Fading Egg Color?

    Over the last few weeks all my eggs have been going from a nice medium brown shell to almost a light creamy brown now. Any ideas why? All 10 hens are doing it. All I can figure is too much scratch grain and they must not me eating enough layer crumbles. Thanks
