I have an animal crate that has an upper level accessible via a ramp. Would this acceptable to use for brooding chicks? Should I keep them on the bottom level then add in the ramp once they're bigger? Or is there to much potential for them to get injured falling?
I plan to use 1/2" hardware cloth on my run and attach it to the wood using the washers and screws method. I can't decide what size washers and screws to purchase. Would 1" fender washers be the right size? How long should the screws be to make sure it stays secure?
