    My Setting Buff Has A Very Bad Odor

    One of my bufffs has been setting since 10-01-12 and as of this afternoon still no chicks. What is disturbing is the terrible smell that I can actually smell outside coop. Could she be setting on rotten eggs? Thanks in advance on any advice.

    We are new in this great hobby and I just finished a book on raising chickens and this book never debated whether throwing feed on the ground for them to eat whenever they want or whether to install feeders whetherr hanging or wall mount.     Roo is Trying to Kill Hen

    we are new to this great past time but we have a problem. Our roo has been attacking only one of the hens.....not to mate, but actually has jumped on her and pecked her so badly that the back side of her head has a huge scab on it. We thought this would pass but this behaviour has persisted...
