    Heat matt in brooder?

    Good morning! Can I use a heat mat meant for seed starting in my brooder? The mat raises the temp 10-20 degrees above ambient temp (according to manufacturer), and is waterproof. Just a wild thought I had. The brooder will be on the kitchen counter. Thanks in advance!
