Brought home two starved dogs today. Ended up making a facebook page for them....if anyone is interested in following their progress:

My neighbors dogs keep coming to my house and have killed three young turkeys and two kittens in the last few days. The neighbor refuses to tie or pen their dogs. Ggranted my critters have not been penned either however, I have personally seen the dogs come into my yard and snatch my birds. I am...
If I have peafowl that came from one white and one indy blue parent and I breed them together, is it possible for me to get whites and blues? What are the possible chick colors and in what percentages might I expect?
I didn't intend to but I have managed to end up wwith a house chicken. Yes there are chicken diapers in my future :/ However this girl is a rare breed and I wish to hatch her eggs. My question is, how often does she need a visit from her boy toy to keep the egg fertility up?
I totally stole this idea from member introductions, however it got me to thinking...
I love, love, love orpingtons. Mostly english orps but I have decided that I want to collect at least two unrelated trios of every color orpington. This is going to be my life hobby. Beautiful, interesting AND...
Many of you helped me try to save our little peachick when she fell ill and we didn't know what was wrong. We still had two but were heartbroken over losing her. So I started looking for eggs/chicks. A very generous lady just came to my house and GAVE me five week old chicks. Just wow. Now I...
Has anyone ordered from them? Id be interested in hearing anything and everything I can about them including pictures of any birds you may have gotten from them and or birds that you bred from their stock. I am particularly interested in the golden laced and jubilee orpingtons.
The lady I got my eggs from said hers stopped laying because of the heat. I am looking for a few more eggs and don't know if this is a local phenomenon or if I'm out of luck till next year.
She was perfectly fine three hours ago. The only thing I have changed is that I switched them to medicated 22% starter from nonmedicated about two days ago. Please help, these were surprise chicks but we have totally fallen in love with them. The other two appear fine.
Who else does 'wierd' things with/for their birds? Its baby season here and I swear I've got some strange critter in bed with me every night. I've got one yokhama chick and one sumatra chick that always manage to figure a way to get in a window or out of the brooder and end up in bed with me...
We have sustained so many losses this year that I was convinced we would have NO luck if it weren't for BAD luck. Wellll a friend gave me four indy blue peacock eggs to put under my turkey hen after her nest got flooded...I didn't expect anything to hatch and if it did I wasn't expecting it for...
We have had severely wet/humid conditions for quite awhile and I had an outbreak of cocci run through one of my outside chick pens. How would I go about sanitizing the pen before allowing other birds in there?
I lost most of my breeding stock due to very bad storms and flooding. Looking for a few high quality chicks and/or hatching eggs. I would much rather buy from a BYC member than a hatchery. Any ideas?
Wow I missed y'all! You are some of the kindest and most understanding peeps I've ever not actually met lol. If any old members are still around id love to hear how dog food is doing ?Most likely no one will remember tho. Got moved to an actual homestead about 2.5 years ago and first thing I did...
