While chasing after one of my 5 week old baby chicks, I accidentally stepped on it. I am so saddened . It has made it through the night and seems to be eating and getting up and walking now but it is still moving slow.
I am in search of pictures of homemade chicken feeders for a project I am working on. If you are willing to share your pictures and directions, please let me know.
Thanks in advance!
My Black Sex Link Hen is sitting on eggs and I wasn't expecting any new ones for about a week. I go out and check each morning and today what do I see.
A new baby chick! I believe it is the silver laced wyandotte egg but I am not sure. Anyway, it is the cutest.
She still has three more...
My husband found an old incubator on some property we bought. It has a tag on it that reads: Favorite Incubator by Leahy Manufacturing Company in Higginsville, MO. The numbers on it read #65-O and 62-E.
I read on the internet that the company is out of business but I am trying to figure...
I'm so excited to share my first biddies of the season. Rhoda, my RIR, sat for over six weeks to get these little cuties!
Her first batch of eggs did not hatch due to temperature fluctuations I am guessing. Anyway she is happily clucking away now.
