Thanks everyone! We're in VA and have been drenched the past week with tons and tons of rain! Hopefully we will be able to get out there and finish the run this weekend. We may end up looking like amateur mud wrestlers.

Awww, thanks. If I'd had any shed, new or old to start with, I would have used it. Our neighborhood is all new construction (less than 2 yrs old). We have some picky neighbors, no official HOA, but I really wanted it to match the colors of the house so no one could complain!

Thanks! No, DH is not a contractor - he'll have such a smile when I tell him this. He's pretty handy, finished our basement himself, built the coop and will be doing the "big barn" in the spring. I think I'll keep him.

Thank you! I was excited about that AND the fact I can watch them from the morning room at the back of the house....indoor/outdoor viewing - I love it!

Thank you! Yes, it is their names...at least the 15 out of 22 we've named. A lot of people ask me about that and I said "why yes, my chickens CAN read!".
DH selected the site, away from the house, Eastward facing, good afternoon shade and started with 6x6 posts sunk 3 feet deep in concrete. Next came the framing...
Of course we put the kids (and their friends) to work....here my oldest is installing the VCT floor....
The walls going up...
Yes... I'm not the "farmer" type (read: princess) BUT nothing makes me happier than putting on jeans and just stitting with the girls....they are great therapy and much less expensive than "retail therapy" which I'm quite fond of.
Did you ever find out what was wrong? I went through something similar but for 1.5 years....multiple tests, "there's nothing wrong"....finally found a doc who had a clue, had surgery within 2 weeks and am pain free now. I hope that they figure it out soon. It's awful.
