yes, mine took 34 weeks. I also have purebred Ameraucanas, one of which took 47 weeks to lay. But her first eggs were not small so maybe its good she matured slowly. Good luck!
Its good you keep her away from the others and practice good biosecurity measures in case its transmissible. Check the others for external or internal parasites. Also you could add 1 tsp unpasturized apple cider vinegar to each gallon of drinking water...I'm not sure there's proof it boosts...
I had a similar issue with a hen. Upon inspection I found lice all over her. I gave her a bath & nursed her inside for a week but she never seemed to be able to balance for more than three steps. She also started panting often for no reason. Not sure what happened to her to cause this. I wish I...
I have one blue and two black 27 week old ameraucana roos. Raised them from chicks but I cant keep them in my neighborhood. They are not agressive or mean. Need to find homes in the next couple of days. Thanks!
Not very common, at least from my experience. I have owned 14 chickens and only had one with sour crop. Sadly it kept re-occurring and she finally passed, RIP.
