    I might just wait until a breeder near me has some then. I don't care if they are mixes, but if you aren't sure they are fertile, then I don't want to invest time on unfertile eggs. Thanks though!

    Anyone know of anyone who sells ducklings in the Genesee County area of Michigan (or nearby)? I have chickens, but want to add a couple of ducklings. I was hoping to get some soon to keep in the house with a heat lamp to get them socialized with people before it gets warm outside, and they go...

    Hey there...Haven't been on in a long time....I am going to add a couple of ducks this spring. Is there a breeder or someone in the Davison area (or nearby the Genesee County) that is able to get them in the next couple of months? I am hoping to get some soon to keep inside with the heat lamp...

    My 8 week old chick just attempted to crow!!!

    Mine is 7 weeks, and just tried twice. Startled the crap out of me! I wasn't expecting it this young. Lol

    I had to cull one this morning. Pretty much did me in. I am almost positive is was ingesting bedding ome way or another. They were different types of birds, and the woman I got then from I not Having any issues. The bedding I had very small particles (along with big ones) I'm pretty sure...

    Well....number 4 just died in my hands..... My husband dissected her. Her bladder was stretched full. She couldn't empty it. I think he must have drank a little pine shavings in the water. Thy must all have. It is my fault, I should have put the water higher.

    I think mine ingested some of their bedding. I didn't have problems before (last year) We now have the 3 reminding 4 week olds on straw. I also have my 2 week olds on straw, in a separate cage & heat lamp.

    Well, two of our chicks died in two days. We are switching to straw bedding. I think they got bound up by the pine shavings. I hope we don't lose anymore.

    One of my 4 week old ORPS died yesterday. :(. It was a rough evening for my oldest daughter an myself. We did go get a nice little 1 week old RIR last night. They were almost out of chicks, they sold fast. The store had tons last Friday.

    Sorry haven't been around....just haven't had much of a chance to drop by. Here are some pics of my little new ones...I have some 3 weeks olds, and 2, 5 day olds. Also, so pictures of my niece (she is a chicken obessed child) She was trying to get them to play with her.
