The climate here has been mid 90's I have 60 layers and only getting 13-20 eggs a day.... Mine were born 2/14/14 so at seven months I should be getting more.... Must be the heat!
I totally had to laugh at "not telling your friends" Some people just don't understand the "love of our hens" I feel better knowing other's are going through this. PLEASE PLEASE bring on fall!
Your chickens sound spoiled (in a good way :) ) Mine aren't laying either. I haven't given them ice but I have given them fresh water every day. Its about 20 degrees cooler today and I had 9 eggs already by noon... (Yes I stalk my girls) I am hoping for a better day by evening.
We have a flock of about 43 layers and are only getting about 7-13 eggs a day, Turkey's quit laying and ducks quit laying ...Is it the fact that it's hot? How long should I expect them to be "on hold"

These three ducks are a male and two females. They are hilarious, but I haven't noticed them running for feed. We feed regular organic laying feed and they have been laying. We just have chicken feed available. What are some treats ducks like and is there any definciency in the chicken...

Hi! I'm new. I have ten pullets that aren't quite laying. We have not built nesting boxes yet, however our roost is currently a saw horse...it's so cute at night they are all lined up in a row on the saw horse.
