    digging down and apron?

    The recommended minimum depth to bury hardware cloth (1/2" galvanized) is 8 to 12 inches deep. Or alternatively 12 to 24 inches laying flat and forming an 'L' (like an apron) around your coops' perimeter...Then cover with your choice of landscape materials. Regards, Coop.
