Thank you. That's what I was thinking. Fingers crossed it will make it tonight with my little broody hen. Tomorrow I will get it and put it under heat:)
I have a chick pipping right now under my SILKIE HEN BROODER :) it's supposed to get into the 20s tonight. About 30 something in the coop. Should I bring chick in and put it in the man made brooder?, bring Silkie and egg inside?, or just leave them be. I don't want it to freeze tonight. Thanks
i would like to save chick but not sure break can be healed. completely separated. bones exposed end to end. She is eating and drinking fine. Just unsure what is best for her.

Ok so I have another chick that seemed perfectly healthy.....about 6 weeks old. Was fine and then all of a sudden it went down on it's feet and now seems to be CRAWLING on it's elbows. Any ideas?
I have a chick with an obvious broken leg..... she is about a week old. Found it outside the nest cold and brought it in and warmed it up. It survived and I saw that it had a deformity but didn't know exactly what happened. Now I can see exposed bone in it's leg. I looked up culling and I don't...
I have a hen that is sitting on eggs right now. Tomorrow will be day 5 and I have not seen her eat or drink since she started sitting.... what do I do? Is she sneaking to eat when I'm not watching?
Ok its completly out of its shell now but it has membrane stuck to it's back. Quite a bit. Its moving, and chirping. What do I do about the membrane? I'm afraid if I pull it off i will pull feathers. It had also pooped in the shell, is that ok? As you can see..... this is my VERY FIRST HATCH!
