    i think most everyone can relate who have chickens... i started with 25 and have had as many as 50 or more.... i have plenty of space for them, however my husband keeps me in check:.. i would love to have at least 100.... glad my husband's here to stop me... party pooper!!!!

    the only ones the hatchery had were black sex links and ameraucana's...and the hatchery was strombergschickens... the first time i used them.. and all the chickens were alive and looking good.. all 25 of them!! i'll probably use this hatchery again.... i think the two with blue paint spots on...

    i used to have a lot of problems with the larger roos so i had to get rid of them.. it's a shame they are so beautiful but can be very aggressive... now i just stick to bantam roos.. they are too small to do any harm... i did have one however who like to attack me so i gave him away also...

    my chickens love the mash:... i bought it from the feed store my mistake,, thought it was layer crumbles and the chickens loved it. i usually just stick with the crumbles it seems to last longer than the pellets. they always have scratch to eat also...

    most cats usually stay away from large chickens.. i would worry about the babies though. my outside cat is scarred of our chickens: .. she runs from them!!!! i guess it depends on how hungry the cat is. it's probably just curious though!!!
