Hi everyone, If I had seen this post earlier I would have gone out rain or shine to support. As a residence of Santa Ana I’d like to thank everyone who made it happen.

One of my hen did the same thing with her first two eggs but all were normall after that. Even got an extra larg double yolk from here five eggs later.

So my 5 hens started laying about two weeks ago and I’ve been getting 2-4 eggs daily. Mostly 2 and sometimes three and once I got 4. How long after they start laying would they producing regularly? When should I expect steady 4 egg days? I have lots of friends and family asking for home...

It took my five assorted(Two RIR) about two weeks before they would go in the coop to sleep at night.

It was a good motivator to get the coop done; I think I worked until 10 pm that day.

Sweet, I lived in Long Beach for eight years; we've never had more neighborly neighbors. The people here in Westminster for the most part keep to themselves.

Thanks! Do you think the perch bar is set high enough? Yea they get out in the yard once every week or so; once I get the chance to clip their wings i'll be more comfortable letting them out more often.
