    Having a gripe! Dropped my eggs

    Had just finished gathering eggs -- had about 48 in my basket. Set them down outside one of our pastures, where hubby assured me 'the pigs won't come thru that gate' .. yup, they did and the first thing they went for was my ENTIRE basket of eggs!

    We have 1 week old chicks now and are getting a few baby ducks tomorrow. Am wondering if it is ok to put them all together in the same brooder?

    Second order from McMurray, DEAD

    We just received our shipment last week on a Monday. Our chicks were shipped the previous Friday .. from Iowa to VT. By the time they arrived at our PO on Monday, I had 6 dead ones. Within a day, out of 84 sent, only 59 survived. I don't blame the po.. am a bit surprised the hatchery shipped...
