I was thinking about taking Cogburn to a show here in Texas in October but with all the bird flu talk...I don't know if I should...what is everyone's opinion on this situation?
It has been a long time since I have posted any pics of my birds...I had a fair hatch from my hens this Spring and ended up with three really good hens and one roo that was triple laced like Cogburn...unfortunately I could not catch him one morning before work and when I returned at...
I will have some 4 month old cockerals and pullets for sale as soon as the weather cools down a bit more...they are all hatched from Cogburn and two of my best hens.
I am thinning down my herd of Seramas if anyone is interested...I have a great rooster and several proven hens that I will be up for sale when the weather turns in October...unless someone is close to central Texas and wants to pick them up...a fair price will be ask.
I have decided that I am going to sell Rooder come this Fall...I have thin out my flock and Cogburn is now the bird I will be using as flock leader....Rooder is almost two years old and is in great condition...I have many chicks from him and he is very gentle and likes to be held. He is also...
Bobby that is a great looking hen...I think I do need to get some better type hens than what I currently have...especially if I'm going to get away from his long back which apparently he has according to several on FB
I guess I got lucky...started out with a really nice laced pumpkin rooster and three hens... Gray, Buff, and chocolate...I hatched out Rooder and Cogburn...the rooster you are referencing. I have had this rooster with a couple of hens that just hatched clutches and am anxious to see if I get any...
I have been raising American Seramas for about three years now and have 32 chicks growing with more hatching any day....I would try to answer questions about them if I can.
