ok...heres the situation.....one of my hens hatched out some babies i mean alot of em. well when she decided to come out and bring chicks out...she kept leaving half of em behind so i decided to lock her up in the spare coop..everything was good for about a little over a week then bang woke...

...red earlobe brown eggs white earlobe white eggs....with exception to the araucana...they have blue earlobes....lay blue and green eggs
i have a black astrolorp rooster that did the same thing and a araucana graduly it started and now they both crow fine....thats weird... all my other roosters got it right the first time this doesnt have anything to do with the question but did you know a hen will crow sometimes...

Ameraucauna's can lay white eggs...some will lay blue' green' olive drab' turquoise' baege' grey' pink' brown...and colors inbetween....i have a few that will lay white eggs..Ameraucauna's are a mutt chicken....if you want a true blue egg layer you might want to see if you can...
it sounds to me like she is a broody hen....i have had some hens just stay broody....some hens will stay broody till they hatch some chicks...im not sure about the fighting....i would say its a dominance thing have you htought about introducing a roo?....i have a friend that had hens that all...
hi there...I my self leave my broodys right in with the flock....i have seperated hens before....but when i re introduced the hen to the flock they didnt take to the chicks very good right away...if you let her stay in with the flock it seems to me the flock will be there to hear peepers peppin...
