Any ideas about what kind of chickens these are?

I'm pretty sure the two other chickens in her previous home pecked her feathers out on her back, but if they still don't grow back after her molt I'll take her to the vet. (I don't know how to check for mites) I've tried some protein snacks but she won't eat them. Would meal worms be good to...

I found a better picture of them, but this was from last year. The black one is really ragged and balding now.

I'll try to fatten her up! The big girl definitely hogs up the best treats for herself and then takes what's left away from the black one. I'm learning as I go, and generally I'm just relieved every morning if they're still alive and nothing has broken into their coop and eaten them.

No, there were no roos at her previous home, and she was really well cared for, so if she's skinny, that's a surprise to me. I think there was some hen-pecking though. That's why she gave these two to me last week.

It's like the second one, the single. And mine isn't as pretty as yours, her feathers don't have that pretty clear outline. They're generally white with a black rim, but not so uniform. But she's nice and I like her!

Any ideas about what kind of chickens these are?

The friend who gave them to me says she's not molting, that she always has bald spots... but I think she's molting. There are feathers all over my yard. I've only had them a few days and don't know anything about chickens -- so I don't even know how to answer what kind of comb she has. I'll...

Any ideas about what kind of chickens these are?

Maybe the black one is just a barnyard mutt. (Or a feed store mutt in her case) I tried and tried to get a clear picture, but she wasn't exactly cooperative. Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help.

Silver Laced Wyandotte was what I was thinking about the black one too, but she's unfortunately not as pretty as the pictures I see of them online -- so it's hard to tell. Maybe she'll look better if her feathers ever grow back. The white one is huge, almost twice as big as the other one...

Any ideas about what kind of chickens these are?

It's not important other than my curiosity, but a friend gave me these two hens. The big white/tan hen lays large blue/green eggs. The small black hen lays fairly large tan eggs. But I think the black one is molting and has stopped laying recently. Thanks! ~ Lynda
