    At What Age Does a Cockerels' Comb Start to Turn Red?

    I have two 3 weeks & 1 day old chicks. I suspect that I have one pullet and one cockerel, as they are both very different looking. Yesterday I noticed a bit of a comb growing on the one that I suspect is a cockerel. Right now it is very yellow, when will it start to turn red if it is a cockerel?

    Sand Bathing! Do Roos and Hens both do this?!

    Darn! Worth a shot. lol. I wonder why only one of the chicks is bathing then O.o... The one that is bathing is also the chick which has started to grow its comb. The other chick has no sign of a comb yet! (The one who is growing the comb has a yellow comb so far).
