    Phenobarbital Questions: Dog

Really hoping this will be the case. He’s my first personal dog (not a family dog) and we’ve put in so much training and work together. We’re very closely bonded; I’ve known him since the day after he was born. Everyone always comments, “that dog never takes his eyes off you”. He’s truly my...

    Phenobarbital Questions: Dog

It’s heartbreaking knowing my fairly young, super active pup will never get to live a life of full freedom but I’m praying we’ll be able to manage his seizures effectively and he’ll get to continue to live a happy life. Thank you for your advice and kind words.

    Phenobarbital Questions: Dog

Thank you! They didn’t give us Valium to take home, I’ll ask the vet about it when we go back for follow up blood work. Would be great to have on hand to give us time to get to a vet if he experiences more cluster seizures. There was a point between the seizures when he was so frantic there was...

    Phenobarbital Questions: Dog

He’s a much happier boy today. Still struggling with the loss of coordination but the vet said it should improve in 3-4 days. He was able to go for a decently long walk today and really enjoyed it. Did the side effects get worse in your dogs? From what I’m being told, they should lessen with time.

    Phenobarbital Questions: Dog

Right. Just starting with this one because it tends to work. He was doing well on CBD oil, but this was a major setback. Couldn’t put off the real medication any longer.

    Phenobarbital Questions: Dog

We just did all the blood work when he had to be “hospitalized” and brought up to a large level quickly due to cluster seizures. He’ll be going in for another blood test in about 4 weeks. Wasn’t prepared to start this medication so trying to learn quickly. Thank you for replying. :)

    Phenobarbital Questions: Dog

This might be a stretch but I'm hoping someone here has knowledge on Phenobarbital for dogs with idiopathic epilepsy. My dog has just started Phenobarbital and is being given it twice a day. I want the treatment to be as successful as possible and have a few questions that I forgot to ask the...

    Dog: circular lesions on belly

I’m adding this info in case anyone stumbles upon this forum looking for answers like I did with the forum posted in my other reply. I have treated my dog since Tuesday with the antifungal shampoo called Malaseb, Veterinary Formula Clincial Care antiseptic and antifungal spray, and OTC...

    Dog: circular lesions on belly

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will be buying antifungal cream today. The medicated bath is on its way as well. I was really hoping it wasn’t ringworm. Reading this past post was giving me hope. I read online that it can take 3 weeks to make a dog non-contagious if treated aggressively...

    Dog: circular lesions on belly

Hello, Hoping you all can help me guess what’s wrong with my poor dog. These circular lesions have appeared on his belly. The one pictured is the worst. There’s about 3 more of various sizes. Some of them have healed on their own. At first I thought it was ringworm for sure, but now I’m second...

What are some signs of worms in a rabbit? I know one is loss if condition such as a constant molt. Also weight loss, but what are some more?

Lynzi, sorry to hear about the problems your having with your litter. I'm having such a hard time with my Hollands. One is 5 days over due. This is the second time in a row, both of these the only times she's been successfully bred despite many attempts. I'm just waiting for her to pass the most...

What Rabbits Do You Have? Show Off Your Rabbits Here!

I think I know exactly who you got yours from then. My friend bought a Holland Lop from them as a pet/4-H animal. They sold the bunny to her at around 5 weeks old (I didn't see the rabbit, but she said it was extremely young and small looking) and it died within a couple weeks. They refused to...

Those are definitely Holland Lops you have there. Not amazing show potential, but I've seen much worse. Unfortunately, I know of a rabbitry just like the one your talking about. You don't happen to live in California do you?

My Mini Lop sometimes has runny eyes. It's usually just from the wind. Once I put a blanket on the side of his hutch to block the wind, his eyes began to clear up. You could buy some terramycin; it usually works wonders on my rabbits. If his eyes continue to run, he might have something more...

Help ID a rescue Lop Rabbit

How big is this rabbit? My guess is possibly a Holland Lop because the ears are short. Could be a Mini Lop though. The color appears to be broken Chestnut.

    Is my dog part pitbull?

If this dog is friendly and behaved, it doesn't matter what he has in him. Having some Pitbull in him does not mean that one day he will turn on you and your family.

Since you only buck tested her, maybe she is just having a false pregnancy? It's common after a doe has been mounted for her to have a false pregnancy. :idunno
