Hello! I have a 3 year old bantam silky rooster. About a week ago I noticed he had a lot of poop stuck to his butt, but it did not seem like a huge issues. Then, yesterday, I saw him squatting and trying to poop but was not able to. He was making a very sad clucking noise and i could tell he was...
Hello Everyone!
I was considering getting a turkey, but only one. First i want to know if turkeys are like chickens, in the aspect that the males are louder, less friendly (GENERALLY) etc... So basically if hens are better to keep, how do you pick a female turkey?
Also, I was wondering if...
My chicken that i wrote about earlier's comb has perked up but now she lims severly. one of her legs doesnt even seem to be working. she hobbles- but she is still eating, please hELP!
I was just outside with my 9 chickens, and one of my 2 year old Red Sexlink hens looked ill so i sat down with her on my lap. Her nostrils looked very dark, and her comb very droopy and purple. She was extremely light, and it was obvious she wasnt healthy. She just vomited on my lap and it was a...

Dont worry. Ive had this happen before, and in my experience, it all works out. I have 9 very healthy, strong hens and they were all very messy! Just gently clean it with baby shampoo and warm water. Be sure to dry it very well, too.
