I really need somr advice, I recently found out that my parents fed my 2 month old chicks layer feed, they are 3 months now, so they've been on it for about a month. I read that it can damage their organs. So I'm really worried and upset. My question is should I get them back on chick starter...
She is a year old and I do have two roosters. I thought it might be over mating as well. Also it does get pretty cold here. In the winter at night it can get below freezing. I might do the sweater thing. Thank you for the help! :)
Yeah I thought about that too but the flock was born on the same day as her. So shouldn't everyone be molting? Also she has been like this for a couple months.
Hello everyone! I have a white Silkie hen that is almost bald in some places. I've attached pictures so you can see what I mean. She has been like this for a couple months now and I have no idea why. The rest of the flock is fine and fluffy as ever. My flock use to have lice so I thought that...
Thank you for replying that was really helpful. Also is it possible for a white and white to produce a partridge? I use to have white roosters but not anymore.

I have a Silkie that's about 4 months old and it has a single comb. The comb is also lopsided. Is this a bad thing? I'd really appreciate any information on this.
Im not sure if shes been laying maybe I should seperate her. Also today I took her outside and when she went it wasn't clear this time it was brow. So i guess really watery poop?
For the past couple of weeks I've noticed one of my silkie hens has been peering in a way? I know chickens can't Pee this is why I'm concerned. She has clear liquid coming out of her vent. I'm not even sure if shes pooping to be honest. Also everytime I hold her she she almost always "pees"...
Just wanted to update that I had another chick hatch today from under the heat lamp and this one was under there for 6 days! I also hear peeping coming from inside another egg. It's pretty amazing :)
So I decided to sell my broody hens but they were still sitting on eggs. Well I didnt have the heart to just throw the developed eggs away. So I decided to put them under the heat lamp with my other baby chicks. Now I know chicks have to have a specific environment when theyre in the egg, so I...
