Well, I let my Silky hen sit on eggs thinking none would hatch. Now I've got 2 little babies. The dad is either a Red Pyle banty or and OEG banty. I'm guessing it's the red pyle due to their coloring. Since they are crosses... what will there feathers be like? Here's a link to a video of...
My Silky hen, Lenore, just started laying eggs a couple weeks ago. Until today, I just found them randomly in the enclosure (we built an "aviary" in the basement for my 5 banties). Today, she was sitting on her egg, which was adorable. Should I let her sit and try to hatch one?
Here she is...
I've got 2 Roos.
Spray, a red pyle banty, who was babied as a chick. He is tame and likes to be held, but will peck at feet/legs if you get too close. I don't think he understands that those feet/legs are attached to his humans.
Carlos, BB OEG banty, who was also babied as a chick, but...
Thanks guys. I'll add some more pics later. He wouldn't sit still earlier! He's pretty small, maybe 30 or 40 pounds. I have a great dane and they do look alike, but hopefully Randy will stay smaller. He goes to the vet Monday. I'll ask them their opinion.
This is Randy Marcel. He is around 8 months old. We got him from an adoption fair last weekend. They said he was a Catahoula Leopard dog mix. What do you guys think he is mixed with?
Thanks for your input!
Madison, 6 year old Chocolate Lab:
Maverick, 1 year old Merle Great Dane:
Madison is currently in a therapy dog class and Maverick will probably give it a try next time.
Both of these were purchased from Rural King as "Assorted Bantams." I was just wondering if anyone knows what breed they are. Let me know. Thanks!

I would definitely report the store that sold them to you. In Indiana, RES are illegal to keep and sell because they are an indigenous species. Also, to sell any baby turtle under 4" here, you have to have a USDA permit, which I'm guessing the store you got them from does not have.
Make sure he is soaked every day. I had a baby sulcata that died because he got dehydrated. I don't know if it happened before or after I got him as the people who I bought him from said nothing about soaking him, but it is very important! Good luck with him. They are so adorable. I miss my...

Please do not assume that no one is watching. I had a giant african land snail as a pet that I did not know was illegal to have. It had many many babies, so I posted on a website asking if anyone wanted some. Well, the USDA showed up at my house, which only my name was listed on this...
My Chocolate Lab never bothers the chickens, only sniffs them and will follow the roo when he runs. She has learned not to bug them too much or she will get pecked. She was fully grown when I got the chickens and it has never been a problem. My Great Dane has also learned not to bug them in...
That snake is too cute. I know in Indiana (maybe all states) it is illegal to keep any indigenous animal as a pet. But as long as no one knows...
You could also try feeding him waxworms, meal worms, superworms, or crickets. Those would be more his size and are readily available at pet and...
