Hello all. I am not looking for a trade, but I am looking for a loving home for a sweet rooster. My sister lives in Columbus, and has a rooster that her kids have fallen in love with. She is a teacher and hatches eggs in her class. He is very sweet, and would love to live with a flock...
Four of my five hens were pecking the younger ones relentlessly. I had them next to the run all week, so they would get used to seeing them. I've also had them free ranging together. The chicks are 10-12 weeks old, so not that much smaller than the hens. I removed them again and put them in...
Thanks so much. She seems better. She never laid her egg, but she is eating and drinking and moving around normally. We are in the middle of the blizzard, so they are all warm in the hen house.

I am still reeling from finding our sweet Rosie in the run this morning. I do a head count every night when I bring our their oatmeal. Yesterday they had their oatmeal in the morning, so that little thing must have distracted me. I remember looking in the hen house, but poor Rosie will still...
Hello! I am brand new to this site and brand new to chickens. We purchased six chicks last weekend and we are in love! Looking forward to raising our beautiful chickens....
