She pecks them everywhere - I have seen her peck them in the coop, in the run and out in the yard.
I had always thought that my Dominique was at the top of the pecking order as I occassionally see her putting the little Easter Egger in her place. The orpington really has never shown any care...
I am having a pecking issue with my chickens and wanted to get your thoughts on how to rid the issue quickly
I have 4 chickens, all 39 weeks old: 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Welsummer, 1 Dominique and 1 Easter Egger. They have been raised together since they were a day old.
They have all started...
I have been trying to find egg cartons that hold 4 eggs, have any of you seen them available in the US anywhere? I can find colored cartons in the UK but have found nothing in the US.
My girls are 21 weeks old today and none have started laying just yet. Should I switch them over to laying feed or wait until they start laying to switch them over?
I live in Colorado and honestly cannot even turn the TV on right now. Sunday, during football - there were political ads back to back the ENTIRE commercial break. I am an election judge and Love the process but yesh, I cannot wait for this election season to be over.
Thank you all. She just seems to be getting so much more bosy now that the rooster has left. She continually herds my other chickens - a Buff Orpington, a Dominique and a Welsummer - particularly the Dominique. Good to know she is not a rooster!!
