    Hi there I'm building my permanent coop and wonder if I need to insulate it. I live in the Greater Vancouver, BC area and it seldom gets to freezing here. The coop will be in a protected area between 2 unheated buildings also, if that is a consideration. Thanks Mary-Anne and the girls.

    I have neighbours with chickens and all my neighbours know and approve of my chickens, so I'm not worried about them saying anything, but I worry about others.

    I will admit to being nervous about the size, but they say it will hold 5-6 chickens and based on calculations from a thread on here, it seems big enough for the 3 of them. Hope all goes well. Mary-Anne
