Thanks for all the tips! My staffordshire is great with my chickens while supervised. My 2 pure boxers and peek-a-poo, not so much. The prey drive just seems to be too much for them.
Mine hasn't had any blood yet- I think I'm going to go to the store and get some plain yogurt and sprinkle a bit of scratch on it. I wonder if you can mix ACV and corrid in their water without an adverse reaction? Keep me updated on your poo! :D
I have been seeing this poo around, except sometimes it's completely runny with no solids in it. I have given some Corrid for three days just in case it was coccidia, (I want to catch it early). I am also feeding medicated chick feed since they are still juveniles. Any advice is welcome...
Thanks! I've been using a "hen hydrator" which is a 3 gallon bucket with nipples, and it's been great! I have a chicken fountain, but it has somehow stopped working correctly. This has made my life much easier!!! Thanks for the warm welcome!
I am from Jonesborough TN. I have a flock of 6 Salmon Faverolles. One blue salmon roo and his 5 lovely ladies. I used to have upwards of 50 chickens, but I get overwhelmed with all the work that comes with that many chickens. I have found much more joy in having a smaller coop and less chickens...
