Wish I had known how much I still loved chickens from when I was a little girl growing up on a ranch!! I would have gotten them MUCH sooner than 60 years old!!! :)

I'm in Georgia, and a red-tail killed 3 of my precious girls within the last 5 days. I have had chickens for a year and never had a problem with hawks, and now 2 chickens were killed in one day and one was killed this afternoon. It's heartbreaking when they are hand-raised and pets you adore...

I have not heard of egg peritonitis. I'm sure as I raise chickens, things are going to come up that I won't know what is going on with them. :(

I hope so, too. It's sad to not know why they are struggling.
