We have around 250 and some odd acres. Most is fenced in, but I am wanting to put them in an area that is probably 3-4 acres with a barn for them to go inside when its cold and what not. Its mainly tall grass and some wild shrubs.

I have been wanting to get a few goats for awhile now but have never had goats before, so I was wondering what kind of goat I should start out with and if i should have male/female or if that even matters. I want them for pets, I'm not going to sell the milk or use them for meat or anything like...
