I bought her off of Craig's List as "Ameraucana" but the other one that I bought is def an EE with the mixed pheasant type feathers. This one has slate legs but when she was a chick they looked more green.
I finally got a good shot of Prudence, my "Ameracauna" pullet (20 weeks). I'm wondering if she really is an Ameracauna or an Easter Egger? How do you know on an all white bird?
I ordered online from Mt Healthy this past spring and let me tell you, everyone tells me how incredibly healthy my chickens look! I never had one issue with any of the 15 we bought. They are laying eggs every day now! We plan to buy from them again!
Well that's a bummer if it lays a brown egg instead of white since I was going for a variety of colors and already have two brown egg layers. I'll post again when I get our first egg from Patti and let you know what kind it is.
just wondering if anyone can tell by the picture what my beautiful white chicken might be? I got her from TSC in the spring and she was in with what we think were Amber Sexlinks or Tetra Tints? I have no idea how to tell the difference between those two cross breeds? Can anyone tell by looking...
I'm so upset and sick to my stomach and probably won't sleep tonight. I am new to raising chickens and had 7 pullets that are 14 weeks old. This evening my Cuckoo Marans was killed and two of my EE's are missing. The other 4 went back to the coop and are safe. My guess and hope is that the two...
This is just proof that some pullets do get their waddles in earlier and I won't jump the gun on some of mine that others on here have called a rooster at 6 weeks old! Thanks!
Well, the "splash" one has blackish colored legs too which are different from the other one and made me think they are both completely different breeds?
It's funny that you say that because they are the two that I have grown to love the most! They are both first to come to me when I walk in the room and the Wyandotte will sit in my hand for hours if I let her/him!
I was also wondering about the other pullet that was labeled an "amber sex link" but is pure white and has no sign to me of being a sex link? She is also a bit smaller than all of my other pullets that I bought at the same time?
What does "splash" mean as far as breed? What color egg would she lay....if it is a "she"? I assumed it was a pullet as it was in with all pullets when I bought her/him.
I bought some Silver Laced Wyandottes as a straight run and was wondering if anyone has an idea if this one is a hen or roo? I will show a picture of when she was 2 weeks old and how she had her tail feathers way before the other two and then a picture of her now at 5 weeks.
