    We love the Runner Ducks too. My husband first had them as a boy down on the farm. He crossed them with his Pekin Pet Duck and got ducks that really layed eggs well. Each hen layed almost an egg a day even thru the winter in OH. The ones we have now are really cute and stand up really tall. But...

    Just remember chickens are good eating for all kinds of predators. We see lots of foxes and coyotes and we live on the edge of a large town. Also, see many stray dogs running around. Just food for thought.
