    One of my hens is sitting on the eggs, she won't get out of the box. My question is if she sits on the eggs are they still ok to eat ? She sat on them less than 24 hrs. I wish I could make her stop wanting to sit on the eggs.

    Thanks for the comments !! The heat lamp setup does make me nervous but I think most people are using them kinda like I am for my setup.     I have 5 chicks. tri-folds are not even close to heat lamp. Not worried about wind or anything since I set them up in my barn. I just was wondering if the outside temp changes if it will affect the temp under the heat. Lamp ?

    Sneaking in 6 day old incubated chicks with hen and her day old hatched chicks

    I tried it and it didn't go so good. Mom picked on the others pretty bad. ill share the info that was shared with me though and that is to wait until it is dark and sneak them under her. Has to be dark with no light on.
