Maybe try Diatomaceous Earth on them instead. That way you wouldn't have to worry about pesticides in your eggs. I give diatomaveous earth to my goats and sprinkle it in my coop to help keep down bug issues. It will also help keep down parasites that could come into contact with your animals...
