    Help-gosling got ahold of a 24" string!!

    Ok, one of my week old goslings pulled a string through the pen fence and ate it before we could get to her. It was at least 24" long. What can I do other than just wait and see?

    Does anyone feed whole grains broadcast style? Pros? Cons? My flock is free range on about 35 acres of varied forage; grass, weeds, pine trees and brush. I would like to feed them in the field without a feeder through the summer. Wondered if anyone else does this? Twila
