I have two Chinese Geese, I am going to build them a house, but they do they need to be in all the time , they roost under my window now.
I live in Minnesota and worry about the cold and wind chills
I have a dog kennel they can go in, but they hate it, Ming and Ping live to roost on my back step at night.
We leave out of town on the weekends and I am going to have to be a tough mom and lock them up for their sake.
We had a grey fox steal my chickens and rooster last weekend, I only hope they went to feed the little fox Kits,
Momma was around 2 weeks ago and waited her chance to get them.
I still have my full grown geese, need I worry that they are next?
I got home last night my three hens were hiding and my little rooster "Beacker" wasn't to be found? He was very tame and all my chicks free range in our back yard.... No feathers or blood left so I am guessing a hawk or eagle got him? We have a chain link fence in the back yard.... any other ideas?
I love my Chickens I have three hens and one Rooster who is just learning to crow in the morning, not sure what my neighbors will think? I think the best form of relaxation is sitting with my coffee and watching them run and jump around after bugs and chasing my little dog around the yard...
I have 4 chicks now they free range out in the yard, and hide in the shade and dirt during the day, It rained last night so I am hopeing they will be fine today.
I impulsed and bought two baby chicks, well sort of, we needed them for wood ticks,
they are currently living in the basement until I get their home outside.
I think I can have them where I live in Big Lake Township, (our neighbor has 5 horses)
I am excited for this new adventure and...
