Am looking to expand my flock and getting a few orpington chicks (hens) for egg laying. Has anyone had any experience in adding this breed to other breeds? I have 5 white plymouth and 5 red sex link that I got as chicks last May. Any suggestions or advice would be welcome.

Thanks for the suggestions. We do have the three sides enclosed around the bottom of the coop to open to the "run" and also chicken wire buried a bit from the hog panels to the "outside" and the chicken wire running up the hog wires about 3 1/2 feet high. The chicks wouldn't be outside at...
