    Hello from Puyallup WA :)

Welcome to Puyallup :) We haven't had any problems with predators. The neighbor cats do get on top of the fence and watch sometimes. We do see eagles flying overhead sometimes. But neither of those have ever bothered our chickens. We recently added some chicks so we have 12 now (six hens...

    Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I am very far behind reading all the posts. This one hit a nerve for me though. I am so tired of dealing with the issues that have come up with the school, teacher issues, other students behaviors, etc...my kids are starting to hate school and they have always loved it (one wants to be a...

I have three roosters that need to go to new homes. They are not allowed in my neighborhood. All three are 11 weeks old. Take one or take all three....free to anyone who can pick up in Puyallup. Send me a private message and I will give you the address for pick up. Thanks Lisa :)

    what breed?

Pandora is very calm and loves to be picked up by the kids. She acts like the mama to all of the chicks. The kids have started calling her Pandora the Big Mama. :)

Hope it went well for you. If it's anything like my moms appointments you could certainly use a hand to hold. (or grip so hard you cripple the person holding your hand....I was the hand holder, poor mom, it helped her a bunch though) :)

Thanks, I was talking to my kids about what to do with the roosters and they said they are ok with eating chickens....just not OUR chickens because they are pets. Understandable. But they are ok with me giving them to someone else who may or may not process them. So I guess we will go that route.

I have three roosters out of the five chicks I started with, that leaves me with two egg layers (i would like five egg layers). I'm still a rookie. Can someone tell me if I can raise them (the roosters) as meat birds and at what age do you process them. And I've seen where people get together...

Hi everyone, Thought I would share a pic of my handywork for this week, lol. I have made my own feeder. And it is awesome, with a nice screw off lid so I can fill it easily. (easier on the arthritis) But I did put two buckets of rocks on top because they feel the need to get up there and sit...

I do not know what breed. I am so new at this, lol. I got five cute little baby chicks from a nice lady off craigslist. They were so darling and cute. It was a project for the daycare kids, but then I was like...we can just build a cute little coop in the back yard for them and we can watch...

Awww, darn it. I really wanted Roxy to be a girl..pooo. That is Spike behind, the white and black. We knew he was a boy a while ago. So that makes 2 boys out of five chicks. And I'm suspecting that we might have a third boy, I will try to take a pic later. That will only leave me with...
