    Hardware cloth - what it is, and what it is not - duck security issue

    Coons n skunks can't grab through "metal" hardware cloth, however, they can decapitate a chicken/duck sleeping at the edge, through chicken wire. My pen has 6' h chicken wire, reinforced with metal hardware cloth/rat wire over the bottom 3', mainly to keep snakes out. Can I get a root beer coke?

    Use the heavy duty "pro" grade landscape fabric. Not the cheap stuff, that you can tear with your hands. good luck

    Yes, they are one week, and two days old now. Sorry for the misunderstanding, the "hens" are chickens! I have 3 different varities, I had more, but coons or fox took quite a few.
