    The time honored tradition that works seems to be to put golf balls around the area. The snake thinks its an egg, eats it and chokes to death. I haven't needed to do it yet but have been told by 3 different people that it works.

    squattiing hen

    We got back from a few days of vacation to find one of our hens just squatting on the ground and not wanting to move. The rooster tried to mate her several times and we shooed him off. She will get up and move a little then just squats back down. Her legs look OK and the wings all look right...
