Please help!? I just installed a nipple style system for my girls and they have had it in the yard for 2 days now. They are not using it and act like they are parched. I got no eggs from any of them today (I am assuming they are stressed out from lack of water) and when I water the plants by...
I installed a britetap chicken waterer for my six 6mo to 1yr birds. I had purchased it to keep the stress level down due to hot water and to try and save me from having to change water twice a day. Unfortunately they act like they have no idea what to do with it!

That is great news! They are very sweet and it would be a shame to have to re-home or ...... I don't even want to say it! I did not know that about hens and the spur development. Thanks for the advise!

Thank you for your reply...
This is Boo, one of our beloved in our small flock. This morning she was acting a little funny and staying away from the other girls. Later in the day she was found by herself under our porch and acting lethargic. We picked her up and examined her to only find no obvious signs of injury or...
I can easily heat a section of the coop if need be for the Sermas. The reviews are mixed on their cold hardiness though. I would need to closely monitor their comfort level if I can locate some. They seem to be difficult to hatch.
