Well folks
I have a local man new to the area hatching some ringnecks on the halfs for me.
He just called and said they are hatching but too slow. Day 26.
And they have some sort of white stuff on them. ( Don't know) Anyway, He is saying that since my pheasants are in a closed area by the...
I'm wondering. This is a stupid question I'm sure.
Reading the termomtor has a in and out temp.
witch one do you go by?
On my first hatch I had the termontor in the bator and had a 50% hatch.
Husband wants me to leave it out side and put the cord inside the bator.
The more I read the more I get...
Yeah I was talking about a digatal. With in and out temps and humidity.
Got it at Home Depot about 12 dollars.
So what your saying is just the probe or cord goes in.
I had the whole thing in there and only got a 50% hatch. (chick)
Got 0 for my pheasants.
So I'll try again with the cord only in...
My question is probaly a stuipd one.
But here goes.
When you go buy a thermontor to use.
Do you put it in the bator or just the cord?
Husband say's just the cord.
It is so special to go check and find out her babies are here. First time this year I have seen it. I have hatched some but now I think its great to let Mother Nature take its course.

Good luck with your hatch!!!!
I have some in the bator now and due to hatch tonight.
I'm affraid mine will do nothing. But hoping any way.
Can you tell me your humidity and the last few day's.
Mine is at 57%. Don't know really what it should be.
Dottie
I seen your post. And was wondering if you could help me.
I have ringneck pheasents in the bator and it's time to remove the turner and increase humidity. I can't seem to find the answer.
Also would like to know about Guaniaes temps and Humidity if you know.
Thanks
Dottie
Oh love the pic's
along with Guianeas. I plan on moving the pheasents into another bator tonight. It makes 21 day's tonight.
I have tried to look up humidity ranges for both and can not seem to find it any where. I'm holding at 45% right now.
But what should it increase to the last few day's?
Please if anyone...
Mine was Shellyd2008. She was most helpful. And very friendly.

I've been gone some latlety. But as I have been looking around and reading. I don't see some of the folks who really have helped me.
Like Miss Prissey, Shelleyd 2008 , gumpsgirl, And of course alot of others.
What did I miss?
I've got guianeas and pheasents in the bator right now and don't know what the day's or humidity levels.
Can someone please help me with alittle knowledge?
Thanks
Dottie
Can I do this? Also need to know humidity start and finish. How many day's for each? I have 2 LG bators. 1 is full at the mommet will be done on the 23rd with chicks. So if times are different can i move them?
Sorry if this is not too clear of me.
Dottie
My question is.
Well let me explain what happened.
My hen was broody and I moved her nest and she did not return to it. So I put the egg's 12 in the bator. I have one chick alsmost 24 hours dry 1 about 8 hours dry.
Can I open the bator to get those out while I wait for some more to hatch? Or...
I can't really answer your question.
I did move mine for the same reason up off the ground and the hen sat one day and then left it. Mine are now in the incabator hoping they will hatch. This was my first hen to sit.
Good luck hope someone can answer your questions
