    My friend also has 4 Red Sex-Link hens (rhode island reds cross with barred rock) there around 3 years old and there laying has slowed down. If anyone is interested all four for free :-)

    My friend has 4 hens that have slowed production and he wants to get rid of them, but can't bring himself to butcher them himself. They are very nice large birds. He lives in Chesire, CT. If interested post here and i will pm you with my information. Thanks

    Dyeing the chicks

    I read somewhere that those laws are all meant for dyeing chicks after they have hatched, dyeing a chicken embryo before it has hatched is not illegal. It has to do with the definition of an embryo is not considered a live chicken until it hatches.
