My friend also has 4 Red Sex-Link hens (rhode island reds cross with barred rock) there around 3 years old and there laying has slowed down. If anyone is interested all four for free :-)

I read somewhere that those laws are all meant for dyeing chicks after they have hatched, dyeing a chicken embryo before it has hatched is not illegal. It has to do with the definition of an embryo is not considered a live chicken until it hatches.
