Nutrition plays a very important role. I use higher protein feed and get 100% hatch last week and this week.

This week, 37 easter chicks from 37 eggs. 100% hatch again. High protein feed does help on chick's developing and hatching.

I would leave it at 55-60% My chickens hatch at 40%+ so 55-60% is OK for hatching and it will not affect turkey eggs.

How many eggs did you set? Usually my previous hatches, about 10-15% died on about day 17,18. some died earlier. If you set only 1 egg, then you've got bad luck. Try again. You learned something didn't you?

Today is the third day that I got double yolkers. They look similar, I suspect it came from the same hen. My hens are around 6 months old and I get around 4-5 eggs a day now. I feed them game bird starter and layer, fermented oak, fermented barley and bread. I wonder if their diet is the cause?
