one of my australorps went broody and decided to sit on 2 eggs. i figured, why not! i honestly didn't pay enough attention to when she started sitting, but my guess is they are about ready to hatch.
yesterday morning i went to the coop and she wasn't there, the 2 eggs sat alone in the nest. she had been looking kinda pale and was out foraging with the rest of the chickens. i checked on the eggs and they were not as warm as when she sat on them, they had definitely cooled a bit. she went back to her nest eventually. i am not sure how long she was out but i think probably 2 hours?
any chance these eggs will hatch? the weather yesterday morning was around 65. coop is usually about the same temp as outside.
