i went out to collect eggs today and i picked up a couple of eggs and they shell broke in my hand not just one egg but 2. is there something wrong with my chickens or are the shells becoming soft?. what could i give my chickens to help with there shell they have been laying for about 1 1/2 years...
i buy the feed from a feed mill that makes flower and i have been feeding it for almost 2 months now it is made right on site the only bad thing is i have to buy 2,000 pounds or more at a time but it only cost me about 193.00. they sell all kind of animal feed like for cows chickens, pig and goats
i started buying my feed by the ton and now my chickens starting laying like crazy. when i was buying the southern states brand i was only getting 3 eggs a day and now i am getting 1 1/2 to 2 dozen a day. so i give some feed to some friends and they were only getting 1 to 3 eggs a week and now...
i had this problem a couple of times had several die could never find out what was going on. i put them in a coop buy themselves and put a light on them and they still died after that the ones that were acting weird i did the dead and haven't had a problem again could never figure it out hope...
i buy it by the ton. for 2000 pounds i paid 193.00 dollars it comes out to be 4 dollars a bag after unloading it it fills up almost 7 55 gallon barrels. my chickens have been laying like crazy even though the cold, raining days.
every time i hatch some chicks i usually get one or two of these i always put them down cause they never make it but if yours is up and walking around then he might make it good luck
i was buying southern states laying pellets but when i went to buy some more today they were out of it so i got what they had but when i got home the laying pellets that i just bought were green and the southern states pellets were white color, what is the difference? or is there something wrong...
i feed them southern states laying pellets 16% protein. and what ever i pick over from the garden! i got one brown Leghorn that lays a giant egg but she does that only once a week. other then that i get small eggs and i am trying to sell them but when all i get is small eggs i am forced to sell...
i have RIR, Domaneckers and buff orpingtons. and all i get out of these chickens are small eggs! i have had them almost year now and i am about to get rid of them. so what kind of chicken should i buy that lays either double yoke eggs, or the big brown egg?
